"Fred, make sure they don't mess with my Booker's." - Booker Noe's one request to his son at retirement
Booker’s began as a pet project of Master Distiller Booker Noe (sixth-generation Master Distiller and grandson of Jim Beam), who had previously bottled his straight-from-the-barrel bourbon as gifts for friends and family. In 1992, Beam introduced Booker’s Bourbon to the world - these are released in small batches, bottled uncut and unfiltered. After Booker Noe passed away in 2004, his son Fred Noe took up the duty of picking the barrels which go into each batch of Booker’s. In 2016, Booker’s Rye 13 Year Old was introduced, made with barrels laid down in 2003 by Booker himself.
